We are pleased to welcome you to our union community. Whether you are joining as a full-time or part-time support staff member, this page is here to help you get started, find important information, and feel connected to your union from the beginning.
Starting a new role can come with a lot of information all at once. Our goal is to make things a little easier by giving you a simple place to begin.
Your First Step: Sign Up as an OPSEU/SEFPO Member
One of the most important things you can do as a new member is complete your online OPSEU/SEFPO membership form.
Completing your membership form helps ensure that you can:
- receive union communications and updates directly
- stay informed about important issues that affect members
- participate more fully in union life
- access member services, opportunities, and resources

Why Sign Up?
Becoming a signed-up member strengthens both your connection to the union and the union’s ability to represent members effectively.
As a signed-up member, you may be able to:

- vote in union matters and meetings
- take part in shaping union priorities and bargaining goals
- run for union roles or participate in elections
- become more involved in your local
- access member supports and opportunities available through OPSEU/SEFPO
