OPSEU/SEFPO Regional Elections 2026: Results

The results are in! On Saturday, March 21, 2026, OPSEU/SEFPO members from across Ontario came together to elect their new regional leadership, choosing Executive Board Members, Provincial Equity Committee Members, and Convention Committee Members. These passionate and dedicated representatives will officially begin their 2026–29 term at the close of Convention on April 11, 2026. Together, the 21 regionally elected Executive Board Members will join seven Equity Executive Board Members to form a dynamic 28-member Board, ready to lead and advocate for members across the province.

Region 3 Highlights

Region 3 members elected a strong leadership team that will represent the region for the 2026–2029 term, taking office at the close of Convention on April 11, 2026:

  • Regional Vice-President (RVP):
    Joel Usher (Local 381) was elected to serve as Region 3’s Regional Vice-President
  • Alternate Regional Vice-President:
    Kaylee Heath (Local 329) was elected as Alternate RVP
  • Executive Board Member (EBM):
    Sara Labelle (Local 348) was elected as Region 3’s Executive Board Member
  • Alternate Executive Board Member:
    Ryan Gilchrist (Local 369) was elected as Alternate EBM

Region 3 was also well represented across multiple provincial equity and convention-related committees, reflecting strong engagement and leadership depth throughout the region.

Local 349 Highlight

  • Credentials Committee – Region 3:
    Lisa Lavigne (Local 349) was elected as a Committee Member on the Credentials Committee, a critical Convention body responsible for credentialing and governance processes

This is an important achievement for Local 349, ensuring a direct voice in Convention operations and decision-making at the provincial level.
